As part of an established succession plan, personal-care products maker Colgate Palmolive Co. on Monday said Ian Cook has been elected president and chief executive officer. Cook, 55, had been slated to replace Reuben Mark, who had been chief executive since 1984. Mark will remain as chairman for up to 18 months after July 1. Cook was previously president and chief operating officer of Colgate-Palmolive.
